Parker 10ga Grade 3 Top Lever Hammer Damascus All Original Mfg. 1902
Description: 1902 Parker Brothers 10 gauge grade 3 top lever hammer side by side shotgun in excellent, all original condition. Super clean, honest original finish early high grade gun and one of only 321 ever made, not sure how many of those are in this kind of condition after 120 years. Parker research letter is included with the shotgun, name and address have been blurred in the picture for listing purposes only. Tight and on face, even with the forearm off there is no play at all between the barrels and action. Firing pins return under spring pressure. All original engraving, action and side plates are still dark and have not been cleaned up or polished. Triggers were originally plated and the rear trigger still retains the majority of the original plating. Barrels are original finish 30" damascus steel with 2 7/8" chambers and chokes are .030/.030 according to the gauge I had access to at the time (2 finger ID gauge). Bores are bright for the most part with some pitting near the choke and some sporadically here and there but a reputable gunsmith looked over it and said the minimum wall thickness is .036 at the very thinnest and the deepest pitts are roughly .002 so it is safe to shoot with the proper ammunition. Stock and forearm are all original finish with original checkering, stock has original skeleton butt plate. No cracks in the forearm and there is only a small hairline scar of a previously repaired crack near the bottom tang, extremely hard to find and only noticeable if you know exactly where to look but It was checked out and ensure it was not a live crack. LOP is 14 1/4, Drop is 1 7/8 x 2 7/8 and it is cast just under 1/8" ON. overall weight is 8lbs 12oz.
