Parker 12 Gauge CH Grade shotgun

Description:
For sale we are offering a very scarce Parker CH Grade double barrel shotgun chambered in 12 gauge.

This shotgun comes with original documentation from the PARKER COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION and two sets of barrels, one being BERNARD STEEL, the other being Damascus steel. Both barrels come with splinter fore-ends. This shotgun is in Very Good highly collectible condition. The gun was built on a No.1 frame with two sets of barrels. One set, the Bernard Steel barrels appear to have been cut to 26” with Improved chokes. These barrels were original to the gun. The second set of 28” Damascus steel barrels were added by the Parker factory in 1898. The Damascus barrels are Full chokes. Both barrels have tapered, concave, matted rib with two bead sights and doll’s head rib extension. Barrels are in Very Good condition with excellent muzzles and clean, bright bores. No visible flaws.


The walnut stock is fantastic with light handling wear; absolutely no cracks, chips or other flaws. This shotgun was originally sold with a capped pistol grip, however was shipped to the Parker factory in 1901 to have the stock changed to a straight grip. Bottom of stock has blank silver oval with signs of patina. There is beautiful checkering on the straight grip. Both splinter fore-ends are matching and in wonderful condition; Again, no flaws to wood. Attractive checkering on both along with engraved steel parts. Stock is fit with an engraved metal butt plate.


Receiver is beautifully engraved with vignettes of a Pointer on one side and a Setter on the other. The floor plate features a beautiful and unique vignette of what appear to be Grouse.The receiver shows light signs of case coloring which are somewhat faded with a beautiful silver patina. Trigger guard is similar with beautiful engravings. Double triggers.
