Parker AAHE 12 Gauge – 99% NEW, JACK HAUGH UPGRADE, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Parker, Year 1923, 12 Gauge, 7lbs, Chokes IC/IM, LOP 14 7/8", DAH 2 1/4", DAC 1 3/8" Serial Number: 203785 In the world of Parker guns, the AAHE Grade was Parker Brothers top-of-the-line offering until 1904 when they introduced the Parker A-1 Special. The Parker AAHE Grade is a truly rare gun, with only 238 guns made in ALL GAUGES, AND ONLY 185 IN 12 GAUGE, out of ¼ million Parkers produced overall. To own an original Parker AAHE in top condition is cost prohibitive to most gun lovers, with honest guns costing well over $50,000. So, what does a working man do if he wants to own an example of the finest in the gunmaking world, a gun with immaculate full-coverage hand-cut engraving, exquisite, highly figured wood with elaborate hand-cut checkering, a gun that is stunning in its beauty and the finest example of American gun making artistry? Many consider owning an upgraded Parker, but when examining the few that are offered for sale, they become disappointed in the detail of the upgraded gun. SIMPLY PUT, THERE ARE FEW WHO CALL THEMSELVES GUNMAKERS THAT HAVE THE SKILL TO MATCH THAT OF THE EARLY PARKER ARTISANS, NOR CAN THEY SATISFY THOSE WITH AN EDUCATED EYE. Well…let me introduce you to a few of the finest American gunmakers of the 20th century. I have owned many masterpieces that they have created in my career, and each craftsman is well known in the world of American gun makers as the best of the best. This fine Parker AAHE upgrade was created by Jack Haugh of Milan, Indiana, Dan Mc Combs of Granger Indiana, and Doug Turnbull of Bloomfield, New York. Jack Haugh, now deceased, was the primary builder, coordinating the project and hand engraving all the parts with amazingly tiny and perfectly cut floral and fine English scroll engraving, outlined by the finest of borders, and accented with bold, raised gold “Parker Bros” and serial number on the trigger guard. Dan Mc Combs fitted, shaped, checkered, and finished the gorgeous English walnut stocks. Turnbull restored all the metal to Parker perfection. We have documenting letters from Haugh, McCombs, and Turnbull corresponding with the original owner of the gun. Ask and we will email them to you for your review. STUDY THE PHOTOGRAPHS AND YOU WILL SEE WORKMANSHIP EQUAL TO THE ORIGINAL PARKER ARTISANS. The engraving is exemplary of one of the many AAHE engraving patterns, including the sculpted beads behind the breech balls, barrel wedges engraved at breech and muzzle, gorgeous skeleton butt plate, and all screws and borders. The Mc Comb’s checkering is perfection executed, the diamonds lined up in distinct columns, the stock carvings and flor-de-lis patterns cut cleanly, wood-to-metal fit flawless, and the recessed 32lpi checkered side panels sharp as new. Doug Turnbull and his crew hit a home run with perfect Parker bone and charcoal case colors, charcoal blued trigger guard, and rust blued barrels. This gun remains in as new condition. See the tables below for the specifications. Our gunsmiths can make alterations that you may want to the stock dimensions or chokes. The gun has 2 ¾” chambers with lengthened forcing cones. The barrels are sound with perfect bores, the stock dimensions modern, the 7lb. weight perfectly distributed between the hands, the mechanics all tuned to perfection. The 28” barrels are choked IC/IM making for a very versatile gun for clays or game. We have priced this Parker to sell, and you will not see another with the pedigree of this expertly upgraded Parker AAHE ever offered for sale again. This is your chance to own a masterpiece at an affordable price. Thanks for looking!
