Parker CHE 20 Gauge - RARE 1 of 21 W/ 30" ACME A30" ACME BARRELS, FACTORY ENGLISH STOCK, NICE!
Description: Parker CHE 20 Gauge Side-by-Side RARE 1 of 21 w/ 30" ACME BARRELS, FACTORY ENGLISH STOCK, NICE! General Specs: Parker, Year 1918, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 7oz, SxS Serial Number: 180109 The Parker gun is most recognized, most desired of all of the major makers of from the heyday of the American side by side. Parker made about 250,000 guns, the vast majority 12ga. guns in lower grades. American gunners today realize the fine shooting qualities these guns possess as they were all hand assembled and tuned by the best gunmakers in the country. Of course, they made far fewer Parkers in 20ga. and fewer yet in the higher grades that were beautifully adorned with figured European walnut and finely executed engraving entirely done the old school way…by hand and no power tools! This fine Parker CHE (Grade 4) 20ga., sn180109 made in 1918, is a very rare, collectible Parker that is a superb shooting tool ready for another 100 years in the field with proper care. “RARE” is over used in the vintage gun world but this gun surely qualifies. They only made 168 hammerles CHE’s in 20ga., and only 21 had the highly desirable 30” ACME steel barrels. With only 14% having straight hand stocks, we can extrapolate that less than 5 were configured as this gun is. Parkers are considered investment quality guns that literally go up in value as you enjoy their use. When you combine the rarity factor with highly desirable features in today’s market like long barrels, fine engraving, and highly figured English style stocks, this gun is a strong investment quality firearm for you to enjoy. The gun is all factory original with the exception of the butt pad which was added to bring the stock to a shootable length. The engraving is exceptionally deep and detailed, and the buttstock has gorgeous marbled French walnut and perfect factory checkering. The factory file marks are still present on the breech face of the barrels! It is a beautiful gun with great shooting dimensions and priced right. The Blue Book of Gun Values places the gun at over $20,000 in this condition with 30” barrels and English stock. Thanks for looking, and don’t let this one get away!
