Parker DH Grade guns are not rare but finding a DH 12ga. that hasn’t ever been restored or altered in any way since it left the factory and still has lots of condition is a much more difficult task.  With choices to be made, how do you know which one to buy?  Parker guns are a true investment, if you don’t buy a “lemon”, and there are plenty of bad guns offered for sale.  You should want to know what you are buying, including great, clear photos that show the whole gun in close up fashion, specifications that will help you know if the gun is safe and will work for your needs, whether the stock dimensions will accommodate your shooting style, and know that the gun is not in need of gunsmithing.  Have you tried to find a qualified doublegun gunsmith lately?  Darned near impossible.  This fine DH 12 gauge, sn109303 built in 1902 is one of the SPECIAL ONES.  IT HAS LOTS OF FACTORY ORIGINAL FINISH ON ALL METAL AND WOOD, WITH PERFECT SCREWS AND WOOD-TO-METAL FIT, GORGEOUS WOOD, AND MECHANICALLY EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY.  AND…IT HAS VERY MODERN DIMENSIONS SO YOU CAN SHOOT WITHOUT COMPROMISE.  What a gun, built on the 16ga. #1 frame, with gorgeous 30″ damascus barrels that have perfect mirror bores, lots of wall thickness, no damage or dings anywhere, tight ribs, ivory bead, fit to the action and hinge pin tight as new, and still showing 97% of the vivid Damascus pattern.  The action retains 65% factory case color, fading a bit to brown in some areas, exceptional clear engraving, and is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN, meaning we stripped the action and forend iron to the smallest parts, Ultrasonic cleaned and scrubbed all parts to shiny metal, inspected all for integrity and function, lubricated and reassembled, providing a VFI CERTIFIED GUN, a $275 service in our shop.  VFI CERTIFIED GUNS have a 90-day mechanical warranty providing confidence you are buying a fine shotgun that will provide years of service in the field.  This is an all-original gun right down to the skeleton butt plate, AND GREAT MODERN DIMENSIONS!  See the specifications in the tables below.  Usually, these older guns had a lot of drop.  Weighing a light 7lbs. 2oz. and balanced dead on the hinge pin, this is a gun that will serve you well in the fields or at the clays course for the vintage shoots that are popping up across the country.
