For sale a have a really nice Parker factory two barrel set DHE 16 Gauge Shotgun.
what follows is directly from the Parker Factory Letter:
Parker shotgun, serial number 235904 was completed on May 19, 1931. According to Stock Book No. 82 it was a DHE hammerless 16 gauge. It featured Titanic steel barrels with a length of 28 and 32 inches and the optional Parker Single Selective Trigger. According to Parker Bros. Stock Book No. 82, its specifications were: Length of Pull: 14", Drop at Comb: 1 ¾", Drop at Heel: 3», Weight: 7 pounds and 1 ounces (28 inch) and 7 pounds and 3 ounces (32 inch). The price listed in the January 1, 1931 price list for a DHE with a single selective trigger was $190.00 plus an extra $90.00 for the extra set of barrels.
What is not said is this gun is on a Number 1 frame. The longer barrel is full and improved cylinder and the shorter barrel is improved cylinder and improved cylinder. The original factory Parker single trigger has been replaced with a Miller period trigger which was supposed to be superior. Additionally this gun appears to have been redone at Remington Parker during that period by the look of the excellent case colors. Overall this shotgun is excellent.
