Parker GH 12 Gauge - 28" DAMASCUS, 6 3/4 LBS, GREAT DIMENSIONS!
Description: Parker GH 12 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun 28" DAMASCUS, 6 3/4 LBS, GREAT DIMENSIONS General Specs: Parker, Year 1901, 12 Gauge 1 1/2 frame, 6lbs 13oz, SxS Serial Number: 105699 In the Parker world we see many GH Grade 12 bore shotguns. They made over 25,000 guns in 12ga. GH Grade! Most are well used, long barreled, heavy guns with pitted barrels, little factory condition remaining, and too much drop in the stock for most to shoot well. Not so with this unusual Parker, sn105699 built in 1901. Here is a rarity in the era of heavy waterfowlers; a Parker built for upland use with factory Cyl/F (.004/.038) chokes, 28" gorgeous damascus barrels, and weight of 6lbs. 13oz. Most 12 bore Parkers weigh over 7 1/4lbs. Light weight 12ga. doubles are not common, and to find one with high condition damascus and lots of case color is extraordinary. LOOK THE PHOTOS OVER CLOSELY. THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER GH 12GA. The wood has outstanding wood to metal fit and awesome checkering. The barrels show 99% factory original damascus pattern with no dents, 25 thousandths minimum wall thickness, and perfect shiny bores. The chambers are 2 3/4" and the forcing cones have been lengthened to 1 1/2" tapers, so the gun will have significantly reduced recoil and nicer patterns. The receiver has crisp, clean engraving and 50% factory case color that is faint but there. Case color always looks better in person as the flash washes it out in the photos. The mechanics are excellent, and the LOP is 14 5/16" to the factory butt plate, with 2 1/2" drop at heel, 1 9/16" drop at comb, and neutral cast. HOW MANY 115 YEAR OLD PARKERS DO YOU THINK YOU WILL FIND WITH THESE MODERN SHOOTING DIMENSIONS? This is an honest, nice condition Parker ready to enjoy in the field or at the traps. The booming interest in damascus guns will make this a desirable gun and a grand investment as well as a fine upland double. Thanks for looking!
