Parker GH 12 Gauge Shotgun with 28” Barrels and 2-3/4” Chambers
Description: *** SOLD *** Another interesting example of “Old Reliable” this 12 gauge GH grade Parker is ready for a new home. It is tight on face and in solid working condition. Decent barrel bluing, residual case coloring especially on the forearm iron inside and out, double triggers, refinished replacement pistol grip stock, splinter forearm, manual safety, and extractors. Made in 1904 the serial number is 127498. Number 2 frame size. Weight is 7lb 10oz. The 28” steel barrels have shiny bores and decent bluing. It is chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and the factory proof marks indicate that it is “Overload Proved”. This gun was made in 1904 and most likely with Damascus barrels. It was sent to the factory in 1948 for a set of steel replacement barrels. By that time Remington had purchased the Parker business. The barrels are topped by a raised solid crosshatched rib with mid and front beads. The right barrel is bored 0.734 with a constriction of 0.010 for Improved Cylinder choke as indicated on the barrel flats. The left barrel is bored 0.735 and has a constriction of 0.23 for Modified choke as indicated on the barrel flats. The replacement pistol grip stock has no checkering but is nicely figured with a high gloss finish. The splinter forearm may be original and has crisp checkering. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2” including a one-inch Pachmayr White Line recoil pad by 1-1/2” by 2-1/2”. Neutral cast. This Parker with its 28” IC/Mod barrels is a sturdy upland gun. Great for game or clays it is in good mechanical condition. A nice shooter. Better make some room in the gun safe! NOTE: The photographs are part of the description. I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection which begins when the firearm arrives at the FFL. Returns at buyer’s expense. *** Come and see this great double and other fine shotguns at the MacNab booth at the Southern Side-by-Side Championship & Exhibition on April 23rd – 26th at Deep River Sporting Clays in Sanford, NC. *** SOLD |
