Parker GH 20 Gauge– 28” IC/F, ENGLISH STOCK, CHEAP!, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Parker, Year 1900, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 7oz, Chokes IC/F, LOP 14 11/16", DAH 2 1/2", DAC 1 3/8" Serial Number: 92992 In the world of vintage American double shotguns, Parker Brothers reigns supreme. The Parker name is synonymous with classic upland double guns. The Parker Gun Collectors Association has done a great job fostering knowledge on these fine guns, which many believe to be America’s finest. The GH Grade is the first level of Parker with game scene engraving and it is a low production gun with only 990 made in 20ga. with Parker Special Steel barrels, with another dozen in Damascus. There is likely less than 800 left on the planet. Of these, only about 80 had English style stocks. This Parker, sn92992 made in 1900, will be somebody’s next favorite bird gun. It is affordable, in perfect working order, is very attractive with the game scene engraving and straight stock, has 28” Parker Special Steel barrels choked the perfect IC/F (use spreader loads in the left barrel and it becomes mod choked, making it good for grouse and pheasants), and it is mechanically excellent in all ways. The barrels are tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, the ribs are tight, the screws are perfect, and the bores are excellent. Somebody has cleaned all that funny staining from the receiver (ie. case color) so the engraving is very eye catching and exposed. The stock dimensions are a special find as the stock is long and the comb is high. See below for all the specifications on the gun. This is a VFI CERTIFIED gun, having been stripped by our gunsmiths to the smallest part, put through the Ultrasonic cleaner, all parts inspected for integrity and function, properly lubricated, and reassembled, ready for another 100 years of use and carrying a 90 DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY. Who else does that? With the upcoming bird season only weeks away, we have priced this nice little Parker to sell, so don’t hesitate to call and make her yours! Thanks for looking!
