Parker VHE 12 Gauge – 32” F/F, #2 FRAME, WATERFOWLER, ALL ORIGINAL, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Parker, Year 1920, 12 Gauge, 8lbs, Chokes F/F, LOP 14 1/4", DAH 2 1/2", DAC 1 1/2" Serial Number: 185205 If you are a Parker gun lover or a gunner looking for a classic vintage American side x side, we offer here a very special Parker VHE that has some features that are hard to find in today’s marketplace. Search the internet and you will find many Parker VH grade 12ga. guns for sale. Most have been altered a lot since leaving the factory, including cut barrels and stocks, added pads, poorly done restorations, and even top-quality restorations. Chokes get changed, many are restocked and no longer look like Parkers, and few have been cared for in a manner that preserves their metal and wood for a century. So, when we find a Parker like this one, sn185205 built in 1920, that has not been altered or changed in any way since it left the factory, we have a VERY NICE PARKER FOR COLLECTORS AND SHOOTERS ALIKE. This Parker has hard to find 32” barrels with mirror clean bores choked F/F, is built on the heavier #2 frame, with strong well-timed ejectors, excellent screws and mechanics, and has the original wood with great modern dimensions of 14 ¼” LOP to the original factory buttplate, 2 ½” drop at heel, 1 ½” drop at the nose of the comb, and neutral cast. Just look at the checkering and the wood-to-metal fit on this gun. You don’t see them like this often! All metal and wood finishes are factory original, with the barrels retaining 97% factory blue, action showing 35% factory case color, and the wood retaining most of its original factory finish. Weighing in at 8lbs. and balanced just ahead of the hinge pin, this is the gun you want at the end of the cornfield with your buddies and the dogs coming your way driving wild pheasants toward you. With the F/F chokes and heavy loads, you can take pheasants at 60 yard in any direction. Equally at home in the duck or goose blind, or perched on your lap while you wait for a turkey to come along, these long-barreled heavy guns are highly sought after and not many have survived intact or were so well taken care of as this one. THIS PARKER IS 100 YEARS OLD! She is cased in a nice canvas and leather case with the Parker trade label, snap caps, oil bottle, cleaning rod and accessories, about a $450 added value and a great way to transport, store, and show off your new Parker. This is the kind of long-range gun that I use for farm pigeons and pass shooting doves. IF you haven’t tried hunting farm pigeons you should; farmers hate them, they eat extremely well, and are a challenge to hit way up there. With spreader loads from RSTshell you can even do well at the traps or sporting clays course, so this is a versatile, investment quality gun that will only go up in value as you enjoy its use. With the rapidly approaching hunting season this one will not last long, so don’t hesitate to make the move. Thanks for looking.
