Bird season is coming, the leaves will be turning, and bird season will be upon us before you know it.  Time for a new Parker for your upland season, but how to choose?  There are many available and more than just price should influence your decision.  You want a gun that will serve your needs, function properly without letting you down or costing you more money on repairs, and a gun that looks good and makes you proud.  This fine Parker, sn209087 made in 1924, has been restored to Parker factory finishes BY TURNBULL RESTORATIONS with 99% deep rust blue on the barrels, 99% vivid bone and charcoal case color, 99% deep charcoal blue on the trigger guard, sharp clear lettering and engraving throughout, perfect screws, perfect wood-to-metal fit, barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, no cracks or repairs to the wood…just a perfect example of a fine Parker VHE in near new restored condition.  Those that know of Doug Turnbull’s reputation understand the cost of their high level of workmanship and that it takes at least a year for Turnbull to complete a full restoration of a fine Parker. The best thing about this gun besides its beauty and utility is that there is nothing left to be done to the gun…it is ready for another 100 years.  There are a LOT of Parker VH 16ga. guns for sale, but only about 2500 with ejectors, and only a few that have not been buggered up, or otherwise made less desirable by the addition of a pad, poorly done restorations, terrible stock dimensions, or replaced parts.  Examine the details closely and you will notice the superior wood to metal fit, superb checkering, original dogs head buttplate, awesome shooting dimensions, factory original bore diameter and wall thicknesses, all setting it apart from the others.  Additionally, this is a “VFI CERTIFIED” gun, meaning it has been stripped to its smallest parts, cleaned in our Ultrasonic Cleaner, all parts inspected for function and soundness, lubricated properly, and re-assembled.  The VFI CERTIFIED GUNS have a 90-day mechanical warranty and will need no additional maintenance for decades to come.  This Parker 16ga. is on a #1 frame and weighs in at 6lbs. 13oz. and balances nicely between the hands.  A finer Parker upland gun you will not find at this price.  Thanks for looking, and you should take this Parker for a hunt!
