Description:
Here we have the ultimate upland game gun with this rare Parker VHE SN168461 “O” framed 16 ga stocked in a gorgeous walnut English style straight stock.  This is a fantastic racy bird gun with an elegant profile so very pleasing to the eye.  The gun balances right on the hinge pin and is like a wand in the hand.
This 1914 vintage Parker has 28” barrels with excellent bores, choked IC/IM (.007 / .026) with tight ribs and barrels that ring nicely, internal bore diameter of .665 minimum barrel wall thickness of 26 thousandths, no dents, dings, or pits or scratches on 99% blued barrels (factory blue), 2 ¾” chambers with lengthened forcing coins, clear sharp lettering making just a perfect set of barrels on this 112 year old gun.
The receiver retains 20% faded case color coverage, the balance of the receiver has a pleasant naturally worn grey/silver patina, excellent screws, action tight on the face and hinge with lever right of center, single trigger that is crisp and functions perfectly, ejectors are strong and perfectly timed, and the trigger guard retains 99% blue.
The wood is highly figured English style butt stock with perfect checkering, excellent wood to metal fit, splinter forend, no splits, cracks or repairs and an original Dogs head butt plate.   Excellent modern dimensions of 14” LOP, DAC 1 3/8” and a DAH 2 3/8”. Weight 6 lbs 5 ozs. Oil finish is 100% and without a flaw with a blank oval on bottom of the stock.  
Here’s the perfectly balanced upland game bird gun with dimensions making it perfectly suitable to sporting clays as well.
