Very rare gun made on a 00 frame with 28" Parker Special Steel barrels. Barrel flats with unstruck barrel weight of 2lbs. 10oz. Original beavertail forend checkered in point pattern with proper reinforcement bolt at muzzle end and has casehardened & lightly engraved Deeley latch release and iron. Casehardened boxlock receiver engraved in standard GHE pattern of the era with pheasants in ovals on sides and large circle at center of trigger plate. Blued trigger guard with burst of scroll on bow, Gun now has early Miller SST, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Capped pistol grip walnut buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a nicely appointed checkered butt.
Overall the gun remains in excellent lightly field used and renewed early in life by Del Grego. Brls retain more than 97% of their proper Del Grego restored blue. Frame with about half of its toned restored color. Screws are excellent. Buttstock and forearm are excellent with minor light handling marks and retain most of their custom finish from Del Grego. Bores are mostly bright and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. This is a very rare gun with just 18 made in this configuration, according to The Parker Story!
