Scarce Parker Grade 3 (D Grade) 12ga Hammer gun with fishtail top lever and original 32" barrels!
Description: Rare gun made on a #1 frame with 32" Damascus barrels in 1886. This gun with splinter forend, fishtail top lever, capped pistol grip buttstock and engraved skeleton buttplate. The gun is nicely engraved in Grade 3 pattern with the exception of a large Pointer in woods scene on the bottom of the gun- very unusual and most of the Grade 3's I have seen have birds on the bottom. The gun is mostly original with the barrels having been restored and now retaining nearly 100% bold damascus pattern (restored by Bachelder). The action retains about 25% originl case color. Stocks are sound and retain about 1/2 of their original finish with some finish added. There is a 7/8" piece on the butt end of the gun that had been removed at some time and put back on the gun - the line is hard to see, but it is undoubtedly the original piece that has been reinstalled. I imagine Dad used the gun and wanted to give it to his son and they changed the dimensions for his son- as he grew older, they added that piece back on. It doesnt detract from the gun in any way. This gun is priced at $3995 plus shipping directly to your door. Please dont hesitate to contact me with any questions or reasonable offers on this scarce 32" Parker at (704) 280-2382 or via PM on this site.
