SUPERIOR and VERY NEAR MINT ORIGINAL CONDITION EXAMPLE - Completed June of 1928 and built on a 1-1/2 frame with 28” Vulcan Steel brls, 2-5/8” chambers, that have matted concave top rib with small brass front bead and usual rib legend. Brl flats with unstruck brl weight 3lbs. 11oz. Splinter forend checkered in diamond pattern with casehardened steel tip, Deeley latch release and iron which are zig zag border engraved. Casehardened boxlock receiver with zig zag border pattern and engraved “PARKER BROS” on sides. Blued trigger guard with zig zag border pattern on bow, SN at tang. Gun made with double triggers, extractors, auto safety. The capped pistol grip walnut buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with its original Parker Bros DHBP. Accompanied by a PGCA research letter identifying this gun as found today. .
This gun remains in extremely fine and investment grade all original condition. Brls retain more than 98% of their original blue with a couple light scattered handling marks. Forend is excellent with nearly all of its original finish remaining and has a couple of light impressions on right side. Frame retains virtually all of its bold original case color with original nitre blue on the screws. Top lever is substantially right of center. Trigger guard with more than 80% of its original blue on bow and more than 70% toning original blue on tang. Buttstock is crisp with scattered light handling marks and retains nearly all of its original finish. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent.
