Each set has gold inscription - "CONSTRUITO ESPRESSAMENTE / PER L'AMICO LUCIO - DANIELE" at left chamber area of top bbl along with standard Perazzi maker's and import markings. Coin finished action has non-selective drop trigger group w/ gold washed hammers, sears and blade. Non-auto safety and ejectors. The entire action body is masterfully engraved in classical Italian deep-relief "Chisello" acanthus vine & scrollwork in dark matted ground. Gold inlaid “SCO” on action bottom and “BLOCCATO / S” on top tang at safety. Blued top-lever, trigger plate / bow, and all appended metal are engraved to match. Gun is mounted in superb highly-figured exhibition grade 5A Circassian walnut hand selected by Daniele. Full pistol grip stock has fine multipoint checkering pattern and terminates in a thin black Maker’s recoil pad. Matching checkered forend with Deeley style latch and fully engraved iron.
Wt: 8 lbs 11 oz; Stock: 14-½” x 1-3/16” x 1-5/16’ and 1/8 cast off. Barrels: 12 Ga Bore Both-.725 (18.4); Choke: B-.025 (I M), T-.042 (Full). 20 Ga Bore B- .630 (16.0), T- .632(16.0); Choke: B- .035 (I M), T- .045 (X F). The project hatched in 1989 as a single commissioned unique SCO Extra Lusso (sn 77659) for an important USA client. Upon its completion two years later, the finished product so impressed Sosta that Mr. Perazzi implored him to have two identical guns made - one for himself (87193) and one for his son, Francesco (87190), also with the firm. This was a huge prospect for Lucio but Danielle insisted it could be done ! Whereas the original client commission was engraved by esteemed maestro Angelo Galeazzi (1931-2012) and he was slated to execute the Sosta order. The engraving on this gun was likely completed by Angelo’s daughter Laura, a Master engravers in her own right, whose signature(s) appear here. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains all of its fine factory finishes with no discernable marks or flaws. Little evidence of use on standing breech. Some light assembly marks at trunions. Wood is sound w/ sharp checkering. Crisp mechanics. Bright shiny bores. Case is excellent inside and out. Leather remains supple with light rubs and edge wear. Interior is clean. Kit appears unused.
Notes : This extraordinary shotgun is the result of an inspired 3- gun collaboration between Armi Perazzi founder Danielle Perazzi (1932-2012) and his master gunsmith of Perazzi USA, Lucio Sosta. The project hatched in 1989 as a single commissioned unique SCO Extra Lusso (sn 77659) for an important USA client. Upon its completion two years later, the finished product so impressed Sosta that Mr. Perazzi implored him to have two identical guns made - one for himself (87193) and one for his son, Francesco (87190), also with the firm. This was a huge prospect for Lucio but Danielle insisted it could be done ! Whereas the original client commission was engraved by esteemed maestro Angelo Galeazzi (1931-2012) and he was slated to execute the Sosta order. During this time period, Angelo's eyesight was failing and his capacity to tackle the most demanding projects such as this became reduced, compelling him to retire from the bench. The engraving on this gun was likely completed by Angelo’s daughter Laura, a Master engravers in her own right, whose signature(s) appear here. Under close observation, one can perceive at two very similar hands at work. These three important Special Order SCO Extras represent the pinnacle of Perazzi craftsmanship during their golden age of production. The cost to reproduce this level of quality today would push well into six-figures but the finished product would lack the heart and soul of those prodigal artisans under the thoughtful direction of Maestro Daniele Perazzi !

SN: 87193 (1993). 12 & 20 GA 2-¾” cham. Matching 29-1/2" monobloc bbls, 1993 nitro proof marks and 11x7 mm top tramline rib and ventilated side ribs w/ single front sighting device. Each set has gold inscription - "CONSTRUITO ESPRESSAMENTE / PER L'AMICO LUCIO - DANIELE" at left chamber area of top bbl along with standard Perazzi maker's and import markings. Coin finished action has non-selective drop trigger group w/ gold washed hammers, sears and blade. Non-auto safety and ejectors. The entire action body is masterfully engraved in classical Italian deep-relief "Chisello" acanthus vine & scrollwork in dark matted ground. Gold inlaid “SCO” on action bottom and “BLOCCATO / S” on top tang at safety. Blued top-lever, trigger plate / bow, and all appended metal are engraved to match. The work is signed on left trigger plate "Galeazzi - Laura".
Gun is mounted in superb highly-figured exhibition grade 5A Circassian walnut hand selected by Daniele. Full pistol grip stock has fine multipoint checkering pattern and terminates in a thin black Maker’s recoil pad. Matching checkered forend with Deeley style latch and fully engraved iron.
