The Perazzi High Tech 8
 (often referred to in the U.S. market as the 8a) is a premier competition shotgun designed for clay target sports, particularly trap and sporting clays.

The "High Tech" series represents a modernization of the legendary MX8 platform, focusing on improved weight distribution and recoil management.

• Receiver: The High Tech receiver is 3mm wider and approximately 40g heavier than the standard MX series. This extra weight is concentrated between the hands to stabilize the gun and reduce felt recoil.
• Trigger Group: Features a removable trigger group that can be configured with either leaf or coil springs.
• Gauge: Primarily chambered in 12 gauge.
• Wood Grades: Custom-built models often feature high-grade Turkish walnut, with options ranging from SC2 
• Sporting Model: Typically features 30.75" or 31.5" barrels with a more versatile rib and stock setup for varied sporting clay presentations.
