Piotti Monaco 12ga. - NO. 1 ENGRAVED, CASED, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Piotti, Year 1990, 12 Gauge, 7lbs. 6oz., Chokes-Screw ins, LOP 14 1/4", DAH 2 1/8", DAC 1 7/16" Serial Number: 8889 Piotti shotguns are considered Italian "BEST" guns and are equal to any double guns made in the world. A full sidelock Holland style action, engraved by Italy's best, stocked to the beaded fences, chopper lump barrels, finely sculpted action machined out of a solid billet of Boehler steel (the best the gun industry has to offer), all actions hand filed and shaped, with each gauge getting its own scaled frame size, all combine to make the finest game or clays gun. The "Monaco" is the very best quality side by side Piotti has to offer and has hundreds of hours of additional hand finish work inside and out compared to their King or BSEE models. This fine shotgun, sn8889 built in 1990, was ordered with gorgeous French walnut stocks, buttstock terminating in a fine Purdey style leather covered pad, checkered to perfection with fine 28 LPI checkering, retaining a beautiful hand-rubbed oil finish, and no dings or marks. The action, trigger guard, and forend metal are adorned with No. 1 Monaco style engraving signed by G. Stedulo, deeply cut with dark shaded background. The mechanics are superb, with the barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin, the ejectors strong and timed, the non-auto safety working properly, all screws perfect and properly aligned, and the factory single trigger breaking cleanly at 3.75 and 4.75 pound of pull. The 28” chopper lump barrels retain 99% blue, with no dings or dents, file cut concave top rib, ribs are tight and barrels ring like bells. The forend is fitted with a gold Piotti crest giving the gun a very elegant touch of European class. This beautiful gun is housed in a factory leather case with traditional accessories. The gun has seen little use and shows as new. The cost of this same gun ordered new in today's marketplace would exceed $84,000! The base price is $62,600, engraving $12,250, diamond wrist $626, single trigger $4050, gold crest $1625, and the leather case $2600. You can own this gorgeous shotgun for a fraction of the cost giving you instant equity, and without the over year long wait for a new one. What a fine investment firearm this will make, as the value continues to increase as the cost of ordering a new Piotti goes up year to year. Much more fun and useful than paper stocks and bonds! At 7lbs. 6oz. and balanced to perfection 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, this is the ultimate game and clays gun. With the versatility of Briley screw-in chokes this Piotti will reign supreme for close flushing birds to high flying doves, and everything in between. Chewing up any and all sporting clays targets far and near will keep you ready for the upland season. And of course, there is the pride of ownership and the look of lust on your shooting buddy’s faces…priceless! SEE SPECIFICATIONS BELOW. Thanks for looking!
