Description: Made in early 1917, this wonderful pair of Purdey 12ga game guns made with splinter forends, auto ejectors, self openers, double triggers, English straight stocks which terminate with Silver's type pads. The guns are beautifully engraved in rose and scroll with about 80% coverage. These two guns remain in excellent original condition. The actions appear to have been originally coin finished and engraving remains sharp and crisp. Stocks are sound with beautiful hand rubbed finish. Mechanics are crisp and bores are brilliant and shiny. The original case is very good with scuffs and rub marks but sound overall. These are two very lightly used and well taken care of Purdeys!
