It has great engraving and special details on the fences. Desirable 2 3/4" gun built for 1 1/4 ounce loads (black powder). Barrels are bright and shiny...no rust or pitting anywhere. Not orginal to the gun WWII motor case in fair condition included. Intresting provenance with the RH stock oval being of the Winthrop family...can share more details iupon request.
-The stock has some issues. Well done extension added with checkered butt.
Worn checkering and small hairline cracks behind each side plate. However, the wood hasn't been refinished to death and has nice character.
-According to the records was made for a left handed shooter. Triggers seem to have since been turned for a right-handed shooter. Stock is slightly cast off for right handed shooter.
-Letters as a "Pigeon Gun" however does not have a pigeon rib...likely miss classified with gun built for the same man and next serial number.
