Traditional Purdey house style, deep cut rose and scroll engraving covers the color case hardend sidelocks, operating lever, trigger guard, tang, and forend latch. J Purdey & Sons appears on both sidelocks, J Purdey & Sons, Londond, England appears on the bottom of the action. 

The Sidelocks are inlet into a traditional straight English style stock formed from a striking piece of dark  grained European walnut. Both grip and forend have crisp fine line checkering in the Purdey pattern. The case colors are vibrant, the checkering is crisp, the action is tight and on face. The wood is very fine. The bores are brite and shiney. The screws are unbuggered and properly indexed.  

The gun is presented in a very nice vertical style travel case with traditional Purdey red baize. The kit includes correct brass cleaning tools, two piece hard wood rod, extractor tool, and turn screws.
