A preowned, cased Purdey side by side 28 bore self-opening ejector gun with 28” barrels. The gun is choked improved modified in both barrels. 15” length of pull over a checkered butt.

Straight English stock, double triggers on a square bar action, auto-safety, plain game rib with a single front brass bead, removable striker discs, drop points, traditional small button Purdey safety catch, gold-lined cocking indicators, and a rolled edge trigger guard. Maker’s name on a banner on the left and right sides. Gold inlaid “SAFE” by safety catch, serial number on bottom strap, and on the inside of the forend iron. Housed in a brass cornered oak and leather case. The gun was proofed in London in 2010 with 2 3/4" chambers.

Nigel Westaway engraved and signed. Exquisite scroll engraving on silvered action and furniture. Exhibition grade walnut stock. The gun remains in near new condition. Top lever right of center, on face, and ejectors in time.
