PURDEY PERCUSSION SHOTGUN - MADE IN 1828 - CASED - EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION
Description: Early Purdey Percussion Shotgun in 14 bore made in 1828. Exceptional original condition. Includes original case, accessories and ramrod that is serialized to the gun. Fully functional with locks as smooth as the day they were made, moving from fired, half cock and full cock in perfect timing. Twist barrels with platinum plugs. Barrels are in excellent condition inside and out. Minimum wall thickness in excess of 30/1000. Bores measure .691 - 14 Bore and stamped as such. Ribs are tight. Highly figured French Walnut stock with shield at wrist (initials - "WLD"). Barrels measure 29 1/4". Mahogany case with all the original accessories as shown - just add shot and powder and you are ready for the field. Weight of the gun is 6 LBS 12 1/2 OZ. Great stock dimensions with LOP of 14 3/8".
