Remington 870 LW 28ga Wingmaster

Description:
Remington 870 Wingmaster in 28 gauge with 25” VR fixed MOD barrel.  Dated to 1970, one year after Remington introduced the scaled down 28ga/.410 receiver and two years before they began building the 20ga on the same frame and using the “LW” designation.  Of course it has the silver/chrome lifter.  

Very good overall condition and would be near excellent except for a few areas of light surface rust on the receiver (see photos).  The most noticeable is a single spot on right side of the receiver behind the action/ejection port.  There is also an area on top of the vent rib about half way down, but it’s difficult to show in photos due to the matted rib finish.  These spots are purely cosmetic, otherwise the bluing is very deep and sharp.  Some handling marks, dents and impressions in the wood as to be expected for a 50 + year gun.  Overall a nice vintage piece from the earliest production of the 870LW.
