Synopsis:

This Remington Model 11 is a U.S. military-issued riot shotgun with crisp markings, the 'U.S.' and flaming bomb proofs present on receiver and barrel, the stock having a crossed cannons cartouche and FJA inspector's mark.

Description:

Standard configuration Remington Model 11 semi automatic riot shotgun, 12 gauge with 2 3/4" chamber and 23" plain barrel. The barrel has a single bead front sight with the left rear side marked "CYL." next to "MM". Standard two-line address and "U.S. (bomb)" on top. Standard receiver and bolt markings, with "U.S. (bomb) MILITARY FINISH" on the upper left side. Smooth forend and pistol grip stock, ordnance and "FJA" inspection marks on the left side of the butt stock, and a serrated Remington marked plastic buttplate.

Condition:

VG+ original rust blue finish on barrel and receiver with sharp edge wear and thinning in usual areas of carry/handling. Comparable condition furniture. Removal of the forend shows the prominent scratch on bottom is not a split. Buttplate with expected wear. Near Mirror Bore. Correct manual mechanics. Very nice and correct Remington Model 11 riot shotgun as issued to the U.S. military during WWII.
