Fine Vintage Remington 1100 12 Ga SA Shotgun
Offered here for sale and just acquired is this vintage Remington 1100 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, with serial number N351955V. It was manufactured in 2003. The "N" prefix indicates a production year in the 2000s, and the "V" suffix corresponds to a December production date. This specimen is 12-gauge with a 28-inch vent rib barrel. Chamber: 2-3/4". The stock is high-gloss walnut with a nicely figured grain and it retains its original blued metal finish in excellent condition. The former owner placed a rubber recoil pad "shoe" over the original buttplate. It fits tightly and can be removed without modification to the stock.
Introduced in 1963, the Remington 1100 was the first gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun, setting a new standard for reliability and recoil reduction in autoloading shotguns . By 1983, it became the best-selling autoloading shotgun in U.S. history . Over 4 million units have been produced across various gauges and configurations.
