Remington Model , The Sportsman - Auto Loading 16 Ga. Skeet Series Shotgun - Checkered walnut pistol grip style stock and forend with a White Line cushioned butt pad in very good condition. 26 In. long barrel with ventilated rib, mid rib sight with Poly - Choke and a orange front bead sight . Tubular magazine for 16 Ga. or shorter shells 3 round capacity. Receiver is engraved on both sides with waterfowl scense. Polished bolt with The Sportsman engraved on the bolt. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 85% bluing. Bore is clean and bright. LOP 14 In. Wgt 7.25 Lbs. Overall condition is very good . Appears to have been well maintained. Includes a new soft sleeve. Similar in design to the John Browning A5 which Remington was allowed to manufacture under license from 1939 to 1948. This one was manufactured in 1948. The Skeet model was a special order at that time. Rare, nice addition to any collecton.
