Description: REMINGTON Model 1900 SxS HAMMERLESS C&R Shotgun NICE 12 Gauge Side by Side from the Early 1900s with EJECTORS! Here we present a Remington Model 1900 Hammerless Shotgun in 12 Gauge, manufactured circa the early 1900s in Ilion, New York. The barrels have a Damascus finish with a single bead front sight on a solid rib marked with the one line address. The casehardened action features a top break lever, tang mounted automatic safety and double triggers. Both sides are marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO." It has a checkered forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a factory checkered hard rubber buttplate. Remington Arms was founded in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington in Ilion, New York, as E. Remington and Sons. Remington is America's oldest gun maker and is claimed to be America's oldest factory that still makes its original product. Remington is the largest U.S. producer of shotguns and rifles. The overall condition is very good. The twist pattern on the barrels remains strong. The markings are clear. The numbers match. The walnut stock is in good shape, with a minor period repair to the left side where the wrist meets the frame. The bores are bright and smooth. The actions are excellent.
