NWTF - 2004 G.O.Y. (National Wild Turkey Federation - 2004 Gun of the Year)
Description: NWTF - 2004 G.O.Y. (National Wild Turkey Federation - 2004 Gun of the Year) Remington 1100 Sporting 28, 28-gauge, autoloading shotgun with high gloss finish, checkered walnut stock and forend; a high-polished blued 25” Rem Choke barrel with one Briley MOD choke tube (installed), a ventilated rig, a 2¾-inch chamber, mid-barrel and muzzle beads, and a gold-colored trigger. Other accessories include the original cardboard box with styrofoam inserts, and the original Owner’s Manual. The barrel is stamped on the left side with a star symbol followed by “28 GA. 2¾””. The barrel is stamped on the right side with “REMINGTON ARMS Co. ILION, NY”. Both sides of the receiver have gold-colored and non-colored engravings. The right side has two gold-colored turkeys facing one another and surrounded by a gold-colored wreath that extends left and right away from the turkeys. Arched over the turkeys is engraved “National Wild Turkey Federation”. Between the two turkeys is “2004”. Behind the turkeys and wreath is a non-colored field and forest scene engraving. On the left side of the receiver is a larger engraving of a single puffed tom turkey with tail feathers fanneed. He is surrounded by a similar but larger gold-colored wreath also extending left and right away from the turkey. Behind the tom is a non-colored forest scene similar that on the right side of the receiver. “REMINGTON 1100” is stamped on the front lower corner of the receiver. The length of pull is 14 inches. The drop at the comb is about 1¾ inches. The drop at the heel is about 2¼ inches. The year of manufacture is 2004 based on the 2004 inscription on the right side of the receiver. I cannot make out code on the left side of the receiver about an inch in front of the receiver (if that is what it is) to determining month manufactured.. The gun is essentially new-in-the-box, though the box has some handling marks and tap marks. The condition of the gun is 100 percent - never fired. The finish on metal and walnut wood is 100 percent. The barrel is 100 percent, with no marks or other blemishes of any type. The receiver and trigger guard are also 100 percent, with no marks or blemished. The forearm is 100 percent, with no other marks on the forearm. The checkering is deep, crisp, and unmarred. The checkering on the pistol grip is also deep, crisp, and unmarred. The pistol grip bears the Remington crest on the bottom of the grip. The stock is also 100 percent. The butt plate is in new condition. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.
