The Remington Sportsman 48 is one of their earlier semi automatic shotguns based on Browning‚s popular A5 style long recoil action. This model 48 features a 22\" barrel chambered in 20ga (2-3/4\" chamber). It has a vintage Weaver Choke system on it to allow choke changes via removable screw in chokes (includes one choke). The barrel code PWW indicates a manufacture date of June 1950 (see pic).

Overall the gun is in decent mechanical condition. The finish has moderate wear and handling marks from age and use. The wood has scuffs and scratches in it. Bluing and wood are at about 80%. The bore is in good condition. 14-1/8\" length of pull. The buttstock has an aftermarket rubber recoil pad to help absorb recoil.

This shotgun comes as pictured, no extras, with one choke (installed). It has been test fired and functions.
