The Ace is built on Retay‚s patented Inertia Plus repeating action that prevents the bolt from being bumped out of battery and allows for actions such as quiet bolt closing so as not to alert potential game during a hunt. The shotguns feature a rubberized stock and cheek rest that offers excellent comfort when shooting heavier loads or rapid follow-up shots and is paired with textured surfaces for better grip in adverse conditions. A single fiber optic front bead sight offers excellent visibility while keeping the sight picture uncluttered for a clear view. The Type R model features a humpback receiver design that allows for an extended sight plane for faster target acquisition.

The Extra Black models feature a matte black receiver finish and is paired with a solid black-patterned stock and handguard. This model is chambered in 28 gauge and features a 26-inch barrel and a 3-inch chamber. Included is a shim kit for adjusting length of pull.
