FILLI RIZZINI Model RIE SIDELOCK ... 20 gauge ... 28" barrels ... choked LM/M ... 2 3/4" chambers ... single selective trigger ... LOP 14 3/4" ... drop comb 1 1/2" ... drop heel 2 1/4" ... weight 6 lbs 5 oz ... single brass bead sight.
The receiver, trigger guard, extra long tang, operating lever, forend latching hardware and decorative forearm insert have 100% coverage of incredible arabesque floral scroll engraving by A. Contessa. This engraving, with it's dark background shading, is world class and some of the finest ever executed. The trigger guard features the gold inlaid initials "MC".
The straight English stock and semi-beavertail forend are on a fabulously figured peice of Circassian exibition walnut. Extremely sharp definition between the background color and the 'almost' black grain is spectacular. Full checkering on the butt, and wrap around checkering on the grip and forearm are highlighted by diamond pattern accents.
This work of art is part of a matched set that was custom manufactured for Marshall Field, the grandson of the famous retailer.
