Beautiful high condition J.P. Sauer XVIIE 16ga- Super cool near wartime high grade gun!
Description:
This is a very special high grade Sauer built in 1939 right at the start of WWII. This high grade Sauer 16ga gun built with 27-3/4" Krupp Steel barrels, splinter forend with engraved latch release and iron. Casehardened frame is beautifully game scene engraved in great detail with scroll. Round knob pistol grip buttstock is very nicely figured and terminates with a beautiful set of heel and toe plates that are engraved and casehardened. Gun built with cocking indicators, sideclips and arcaded fences. JP Sauer engraved on the barrel bands and heel plate. Top rib is engrved W. Eblen, Stuttgart (a high end gun retailer - Waffen Eblen).
This gun remains in beautiful original condition overall with more than 90% bold original case color. Barrels with about 98% original blue remaining. Stocks are excellent and crisp throughout. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are perfect.
