JP Sauer & Sohn Model XVII (17) 16ga Caveman Logo Double

Serial 343360 WWII proof 6/44, anson scallopped action, double
intercepting sears, crisp ejectors, double underlug and Greener
crossbolt locking system.  Still has the  2 5/8" chambers!  The
"expert" gunsmiths haven't had a chance to grind away on them!
Krupp 3-ring barrels with "Caveman" cartouche on rear rib.
The screws appear unturned so perhaps it hasn't been to the experts
for "complete tear down and cleaning".....what rubbish.....if it isn't broke,
and these German built Sauer almost never break, don't fix it!  Notice 
retainer rings for the cocking indicators are pristine, another good sign.

Condition: Wood, barrel, and action colors show some normal field use.
No cracks, sanding, repairs or reblueing. Action is tight and barrels ring true.
Bores are bright, no dents. Bores measure .667 chokes L/R .023 & .010
DAC 1 5/8" DAH 2 3/4" LOP 14 1/4" Barrels measure correct 27 5/8"
Nice light 6lbs 3oz.....
