MAKE AN OFFER. Extremely scarce best quality lever cocking Drilling in Excellent condition. 26" 16 gauge Krupp steel barrels choked Improved Cylinder x Modified. Excellent shiny, unpitted bores. The rifle barrel is 9.3x72r and has a nice bore with strong rifling. Beautifully engraved full Sauer sidelock action retains a good portion of its original fading case coloring. Rifle is cocked by a small sidelever that activates the reat trigger. This eliminates the possibility of a rifle misfire while shotgunning. I feel this true sidelock design is the most reliable, elegant, and simple drilling ever made. The action locks up tight and on face and all numbers match. Everything functions perfectly. Length of pull is 15” and drop is 1 5/8” and 2 ¾”. The forend has one fairly deep scratch and a couple of small oil stains. A very, very clean example of a pre-war Sauer scarce true Sidelock drilling. Choke constrictions are .009 Right and .025 Left.
