Serial #81779, .410 Gauge (3 inch chamber), 28 inch vent rib barrel with a bright, excellent bore choked modified. This is a model 42 Winchester pump shotgun manufactured in 1949 that has been professionally restored and now features the last type oval post vent rib marked “SIMMONS GUN SPECIALTY CO., KANSAS CITY, MO" which covers the Winchester proof. It also features beautiful deluxe checkered walnut stocks with the single center diamond pattern. In excellent plus condition as refinished the barrel and frame have about 97-99% blue finish with several small marks on the barrel and two tiny blemishes on the right side of the receiver with some finish loss on the magazine tube. The full figured walnut stock and forearm rate excellent with crisp checkering. The LOP is 14 inches over a Pachmayr White Line rubber recoil pad. A beautiful model 42 that would be a pleasure to shoot and will turn a few heads at the range or in the field. FFL or C&R
