SOLD This was the first double gun I ever bought, and I am always amazed at it when it comes out of the safe. This Ranger 16ga SxS was
built likely in the 40s, and is essentially a Fox Model B. However, this gun is far more attractive than others. The wood on the buttstock is truly fantastic, as is the lovely color case hardening on the receiver, much of which is present and vibrant. This is a classic American double with a handy beavertail forearm, great for those warm summer clays courses. I had the chokes opened by Mike Orlen of Amherst, MA to IC/M. It's a lovely clays or game gun at a bargain price relative to other American doubles, none of which have wood close to this in quality and appearance. Mid bead on the 28' barrels, and a LOP of about 14.25" to the end of an attractive vintage Pachmayr pad.
