Here's the first shotgun Remington introduced to American hunters and shooters
after the end of world war 2. The 11-48 is lighter and more streamlined than the model 11.
This one was built in early fifties. Looks like it was built last week.
This is the 11-48 semi-auto in 28 gauge. It has the 25 inch barrel with full choke.
That's a great combination for Quail or other bird hunting.
This little guy is light weight ,swings and aims like part of your arm.
Mechanically , this gun is as new! In fact I can say that about the entire gun.
Blueing is perfect and the beautiful walnut wood is 99.9% perfect . Remember, it's 70 years young!
This 11-48, 28 gauge has hand cut checkering, no scuffs ,scrapes , dings ,splits,
chips,or any of that hidden stuff. Pictures show one small scrape on right side
of the stock. Scrape is in varnish only, does not affect the wood. Very easy to hide ,
if you know how to do that stuff.
Bottom line, this is just one downright awesome 11-48
