JAPANESE 8 BORE MARKET SHOTGUN WITH 45" FLUID STEEL BARREL

Description:
Here is a rare Japanese 8 Bore Market Shotgun made in the pre war time period. This unusal gun features a 45" Full Choke Fluid Steel Barrel. Case color at 99%. Detailed and sharp hand engraving. Greener style side safety - some what stiff to opertate. Gun is tight on face. No cracks to nicely figured wood. Barrel has a chamber in excess of 3". Slight corrosion on bottom of barrel - see last photo. Mirror bore is 95% condition with a few areas of very light and shallow corrosion. These guns were used under adverse conditions. Rear "V" notch sight as is common on market guns. Fully functional. This gun was owned many years ago by a market hunter in Alaska. Weight of gun is 10 LBS 2 OZ. LOP is 14 3/8". Shipping is $65. 

If anyone can translate the Japanese writing on the side of the barrel I would be most appreciative to know what is says.
