DEFOURNY 12 GAUGE SIDELOCK EJECTOR - LARGE SCROLL ENGRAVED - BUILT IN 1945
Description: Defourny 12 gauge sidelock ejector with large acanthus and flower engraving to an aged brushed finish. Barrels are 26 5/8". Elegant swan neck stock - quite comfortable to shoot. Date code indicates gun was built in 1945. Bar action sidelock with cocking indicators. Churchill Rib. Southgate ejectors - well timed and strong. Tight on face / no loose ribs / no cracks to wood. Bottom rib has swivel holes that have been plugged with slotted screws, typical for European shotguns. Barrel blue thinning especially in the forend area. Purdey style third fastener. Disc set strikers with a clean breech face. Screw slots in good order. Chambers are 2 3/4". Mirror bores with right measuring .723 at Mod (15/1000) choke, while left is .723 also with Mod (15/1000) choke. LOP is 14 3/16". Drop at comb is 1 9/16". Drop at heel is 2 3/8". Shipping is $50.
