Presented here is an outstanding matched pair of B.E. Chaplin boxlock ejector shotguns in 12 gauge, serial numbers 628-11628 and 629-11629, numbered “1” and “2” in gold on the ribs. This consecutive, cased pair is offered in excellent overall condition, complete with their original fitted leather motor case.

Condition
Both guns present in excellent overall condition. The stocks are solid and finely figured, checkering remains sharp, and the actions are tight with positive lockup. The barrels and ribs show strong, even finish; bores are bright with no noted defects. The engraving is crisp, and the color case hardening remains vivid. Triggers are crisp, ejectors function properly, and overall mechanics are excellent. The original fitted leather motor case accompanies the pair, showing period-correct wear consistent with age and careful storage.
