Excellent Condition Thomas Wild 12 gauge ejector
Description: Thomas Wild (T. Wild) english double in excellent condition. 30 inch excellent nitro proof barrels with mirror bores. Choked cylinder and modified cylinder. Greener cross bolt lockup. Release lever centered and tight lock up.Crisp trigger pull, 15 3/8 from front trigger. Silvers style red rubber recoil pad with 5/8” extension. 1 5/8” - 2 1/4” drop. Very very nice, excellent condition, straight grained walnut stocks. Splinter, Anson release forend and round knob pistol grip. All furniture very good to excellent condition. Very nice scroll engraved receiver with 2 grouse on one side and a pointing setter on the other. T Wild also engraved on receiver. 1934 build according to the serial number. Ejectors strong and in time. The slightly tapered rib is engraved: T Wild 17&18 Whittall Street Birmingham. Very goodwall thickness. Receiver and barrel blue 99% with 95% case hardening colors. There are no dents, splits or cracks in the furniture and rates 90% or higher condition. It is not easy to find another 89 year old English double in this condition. Thomas Wild is a well known and highly respected Birmingham English gunmaker with a reputation of making quality doubles. Additional photos can be requested.
