The Whitney Arms Co, chambered in double barrel, 10 gauge. It is in good condition and shows its age. A small crack on the hand guard, and a hammer has been replaced.

This Whitney Arms Co. Double barrel shotgun has a few years under its belt. Manufactured in 1870-1874 making this percussion cap shotgun over 150 years old. It shows proven field use in its prime, it has a small crack on the handguard, consistent with used with shotguns from this time. the varnish shows appropriate wear, and the bluing maintains an even coloring. The wood varnish and checkering is worn. The engravings on the metal are pronounced. One of the hammers has been replaced at some point, but it remains mechanically functional.
