Description: Monthly Special Armsport Model 2743 16 GA O/U Shotgun Import Offered here for sale as a monthly special and just acquired is this very nice over/under shotgun imported by Armsport of Miami, Florida a few decades ago. The Armsport Model 2743 is a 16-gauge over/under shotgun featuring a 27-inch vent rib barrel, checkered pistol grip and forearm, high-gloss stock, and a single trigger. Given its serial number, 42896, it's likely that this firearm was manufactured in the 1970s. Armsport Inc. was a U.S.-based firearms importer active primarily in the 1970s through the early 1990s. They imported various firearms, including over/under shotguns like the Model 2743, which were often manufactured in Italy or Spain. These shotguns were known for their solid craftsmanship and were positioned as affordable alternatives to higher-end European brands. Armsport ceased operations around 1993. The shotgun appears to have been used very little however it was stored away in an improper place and as a result picked up some surface patina on top of the vent rib. When cleaned it shows some “pinprick” residue top of rib. Otherwise it is in great shooting condition.
