This small frame 28 is is a Francotte look alike.  At first glance, one would call it a knockabout, even the pattern on the rib is identical.  The scaled box lock action has border and detail engraving, maintaining  a good blush of case colors.  Anson release splinter for end, double triggers, auto safe, extractor.   Straight hand stock measures 1-3/8" comb, 2-3/8" heel, 13-7/8 LOP over a 3/4" pad.  A standard .80 pad would bring the pull to 14.   Balanced just ahead of the pin.
This little gun shows field use however is tight on the face and locks up like a bank vault.  At just 5 lbs, a true scaled small frame 28.
