Francotte Rare Model 1923-H in 410GA Lovely
Description: Gun is now sold pending payment and inspection. I have for sale a rare little piece and one that I think one any side by side guy would enjoy owning. This gun is a Francotte Model 1923-H and from what I'm told by Bob Beach the very fine gentleman that is in charge of all the records for Griffin & Howe there were very few of these brought into this country. This little gun features 26 inch barrels with untouched bores that measure .411 in the right barrel and .412 in the left. Chokes (restriction) measures .014 in the right barrel, and .016 in the left barrel giving you improved modified in both barrels. Chambers measure 3 inches exactly. Barrels have an ivory front and mid bead. Barrels have side clips and ejectors which are very strong. Bluing is all original and nice with a few marks which can be seen in the pictures. There is no rust or corrosion on the barrels and they are very tight and on face. Lockup includes a greener cross bolt, side clips, and locking lugs. Stock is in excellent original condition with a few scattered marks and having a Prince of Wales grip. Forend is tiny splinter with Anson latch. Stock dimensions are very nice at 1 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 14 1/2 over original horn butt plate which is in excellent condition. Stock is cast off for the right hand shooter. Weight of the gun is 4 pounds 9 ounces and it has wonderful balance. Mr. Beach is preparing a research packet on the gun which I will receive and will pass along to the new owner. He has told me the gun was received by V L & D on April 3rd,1930. Price of the gun is $XXXX plus shipping to your FFL. This is a very unique little gun and one that you will be proud to own, shoot, and hunt with. How much fun would this be to shoot Quail, Grouse, or Woodcock, over a nice pointing dog with this little gun?
