Remington 870 Wingmaster, .410 Bore Pump Shotgun
Description: Remington 870 Wingmaster, .410 bore pump shotgun with a satin finish on its American walnut stock and forend, a 25-inch, modified-choke barrel with a 3-inch chamber, high-polished blued barrel and receiver, and a ventilated rib with mid-barrel and muzzle beads. The length of pull is 14 inches. The drop at the comb is about 1¾ inches. The drop at the heel is 2¼ inches. Date of manufacture is May, 1999 (based on barrel code KT). Other accessories include the original cardboard box with styrofoam inserts and original documents package envelope with Instruction Book, The Safe Use and Care of Your New Firearm brochure, Remington Museum & Country Store brochure, Remington Shotshell Ammunition brochure, Firearm Warranty Registration card (not filled out, nor filed), Authorized Worldwide Repair Stations brochure, and yellow plastic Build To tag. The barrel is labeled on the left side with “.410 BORE 3” ONLY”. The barrel is labeled on the right side with “REMINGTON ARMS Co. ILION, NY”. The receiver is adorned on both side with hunting scenes. The left side features a field with a pointer on three quail taking flight; "Remington Model 870" is on a scroll beneath the hunting scene. The right side of the receiver features woods and a field with a woodcock in flight. Both scenes are set in the midst of a floral pattern. The condition of the gun is 99 percent. The finish on metal and walnut wood is all original. The barrel is 100 percent, with no marks or other blemishes of any type. There are a few marks on the magazine tube due to pumping action. The receiver and trigger guard are also 100 percent, with no marks or blemished. The forearm is excellent condition. There are two small dents (one about 1/8 inch and the other about ¼ inch) on the left side of the forend, about four inches from the rear of the forend. Neither have penetrated the finish. There is a 1/3 inch dent line just to the rear of the dents and at the top of the forend (near the barrel). It is also not through the finish. The right side and bottom of the forend are unblemished. There are no marks to the forearm checkering; it is deep, crisp, and unmarred. The checkering on the pistol grip is also deep, crisp, and unmarred. The stock is in excellent condition. The left side of the stock has five tiny dents that are hardly noticeable and one that is about 1/8 x 1/8 inch that appears to have penetrated the finish and very slightly into the wood. The right side has a couple bumps that are hardly noticeable. The top and belly of the stock are unblemished. The butt plate has a few scratches at the toe and a couple on the right side, about half way between the heal and toe. The butt plate bears the Remington crest. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.
