Thad Scott .410 SxS - EJECTORS, SINGLE TRIGGER ENGLISH STOCK, AS NEW!
Description: Thad Scott .410 SxS - EJECTORS, SINGLE TRIGGER ENGLISH STOCK, AS NEW! Description: Thad Scott .410 Gauge SxS EJECTORS, SINGLE TRIGGER, ENGLISH STOCK, AS NEW! General Specs: Armi San Marco, Year 1985, .410 Gauge, 6lbs 5oz, Side-by-Side Serial Number: 19831 If you have been chasing fine collectible guns for long and with any seriousness, you will remember the fine gentleman Thad Scott. He owned Thad Scott Fine Guns in Mississippi for decades and passed away in 2009. He was known as a honest and fair man, and a knowledgeable purveyor of fine guns. His company was responsible for the importation of many fine Italian made double guns, like this one from Armi San Marco. These guns were made specifically for Thad Scott, under his specifications for quality. I have reviewed the gun inside and out and it is indeed a very well made, nicely appointed boxlock with some high quality features, ie. ejectors, reliable single trigger, rebated frame to keep the head of the stock in place, scalloped frame, gorgeous bone and charcoal case colors, fine hand cut checkering, nicely figured European walnut, with a fit and finish that measures up to "fine gun" status. The condition of this 1985 vintage side x side is as new, with 99.5% or better metal and wood finish, with only a few tiny handling marks. The ejectors are super strong and timed, the trigger is crisp and clean, bores are perfect mirrors, and the barrels are tight as new on the breech face and hinge pin. The 26" barrels are choked SK/F...perfect for upland birds over dogs or the challenge of breaking clay targets. This is a fine little .410 at a very fair price, one that will serve you for decades to come. Thanks for looking at our fine guns. Please call if you have any questions.
