Winchester Model 42...exeptionally upgraded !

Winchester Model 42, .410 bore pump action shotgun.  26" solid rib barrel with 3" chamber and choked, FULL.  From those "basics" this gun was embellished with very, very fine engraving and fitted with spectacular wood that has Winchester "A" style carved checkering to make it into one of the nicest 42's I have ever offered.

In all aspects this is an exceptionally well upgraded Winchester Model 42!  

Look closely at the engraving..often you do not want to look too closely or you will see errors in scale and execution.  Not on this example.  The pointing dogs on the left and the setter on the right are beautiflly engraved and detailed.  The birds are great; the background is great and the scroll is great.  The Pigeon on the magazine tube extension is great.  I cannot find a signature but whoever did this work should be proud of their efforts.

The wood is a perfect compliment to the metal.  Starting with fabulous pieces of wood then finishing with masterfully and checkered to perfection.

Again this is one of the finest Winchester Model 42 upgrades that I have ever offered for sale and I have had scores of them!
