L.C. Smith - No. 3 Grade - 12ga with Beautiful 30" Chain Damascus barrels
Description: Beautiful No. 3 Grade LC Smith with 30" Chain Damascus barrels in 12 gauge. This is a Pre-1913 gun that was made in 1901 and you can tell that this gun was made in an era when craftsmanship and attention to detail meant something. The right lock has two ducks swimming, and the left lock has two quail feeding. The gun has been refinished, but was done so by Brad Bachelder about ten years back, so the gun looks true to how it would have looked when it left the factory. The wood is exceptionally figured walnut which really helps enhance the overall beauty of the gun. It's not a light gun at 7-3/4 lbs, but the upside is that weight absorbs any and all felt recoil. The gun is choked Improved Cylinder and Modified, and I am assuming someone opened the chokes between when it left the factory and my owenrship. The chambers are the original 2-3/4" and the bores are excellent shape with no roughness or pitting. This gun has extractors rather than ejectors (which I personally prefer so I don't have to bend over to pick up the shell that was thrown somewhere in the grass behind me). When the gun was refinished, it also had a wrist crack that was repaired, but it was done exceptionally well and shows no sign of weakness or lack of integrity. Priced at $2395 plus shipping to your FFL. Happy to answer any questions or send additional photos if needed. Reasonable offers will be considered.
